S3D Technologies LLC, a US-based research and development technology company that develops solutions for stereoscopic 3D production, announced that Stereo 3D Services has just invested in the new Beam Splitter Rig, which will be launched for the first time at IBC this year at the SGO stand. Stereo 3D Services is a high-end stereoscopic 3D production service provider, which delivers performance-lead technology and consulting solutions to television and film producers who want to produce stereoscopic 3D content.
CEO of Madrid-based Stereo 3D Services, Ana Cerezo, states: “After looking at various options in the market, we made the decision to purchase S3D Technologies’ Beam Splitter Rig because it presents us with superior quality at a very reasonable price. The S3D Beam Splitter Rig allows close-up scenes to be shot with great precision and is compatible with most digital cameras (Red One, Red Epic, ARRI ALEXA, Sony HD CAM) and other small full body cameras.
The S3D Calculator is a software package developed by S3D Technologies to complement their rigs and can connect from PC, Mac or iPhone to calculate stereoscopic parameters during a 3D shoot.
The new Beam Splitter Rig and S3D calculator will be unveiled at IBC 2010 at the SGO Stand 6.A11 in Hall 6.
